Section is a pre-cast concrete unit designed to permit the construction of vibrated concrete walls without the need for conventional shuttering.
The PSS Wall Sections are laid on a suitable mortar bed in a traditional brick fashion. Reinforcement, vertical and horizontal bars, is fixed as the wall is built. Finally, concrete is poured into the cavity and vibrated around the steel reinforcement. The wall depth can be varied according to the depth and specification; the wall sections come in a choice of either 230mm or 330mm width.
By having the two slabs on unequal length, joined together by two high tensile steel tie bars, curved or straight walls can be constructed. This means that virtually any shape of pool design can be built.
1. Excavation - removal of subsoil, lay sub base and provide under floor drainage.
2. Footing Blocks are laid on a mortar bed and spaced to support the Wall Sections.
3. Horizontal and vertical steel reinforcement forms a ring bear around the footing foundations.
4. Wall Sections are mortar bedded brick fashion onto the Footing Blocks, dry butt joined. A continuous cavity is created through the wall sections, reinforcement is fixed vertically and horizontally.
5. Concreting commences in one operation for floors and walls. The cavity and footings filled. Vibrated concrete flows into the wall sections and footings around the steel reinforcement and is vibrated using a mechanical poker.
